The Bill Esping Lawsuit and Fraud Support Initiative launched in September 2012 with the goal of becoming a premiere platform for the support of legal aid issues in North Texas. It has initially identified seven organizations to receive funding and support:
The Texas Access to Justice Foundation
Texas Legal Services Center
Disability Rights Texas
Legal Aid of Northwest Texas
Lone Star Legal Aid
Aid to Victims of Domestic Abuse
Human Rights Initiative of North Texas
These organizations are an important source of aid and support to under-served people across Texas. Through these organizations, the Initiative ensures that support is provided where it is most needed, and that the root, rather than the fruit, of poverty is being addressed.
About Bill Esping
Bill Esping has a unique personal style of philanthropy and entrepreneurship. Business and finance are strong and well-known endeavors in Dallas, much like in the rest of Texas, and people find success through the principles of ingenuity and hard work that are instilled in them from youth. Making his home in Dallas, Bill Esping is no exception to this rule. Without a doubt, he is a strong leader and manager, instrumental to the success of the many businesses he has overseen over the years. A strategist and tactical leader, Bill Esping has developed a strong reputation as a businessman and investor. Among the businesses he has helped guide to lasting success are Cypress Lending Group, Ltd. and EFO Holdings, L.P. It is no wonder that he’s known by local industry experts as a successful business developer and incubator.
A graduate of Southern Methodist University, Mr. Esping utilized his studies to excel. Known as a passionate innovator, Mr. Esping’s talents developed in his leadership role at EFO Holdings, L.P. (the Esping Family Office), where he has played an integral role. He has served as founding partner, CEO, board member, and in other important leadership roles in companies like Pan Aero Energy Company, Resort Properties of Naples, L.P., Palm Beach Tan, Inc., Platinum Resources Organization, Smith Pipe, Inc., and SPA Drilling, L.P. Other offices he has held include seats on the board of Bellevue University and the respected Cypress Lending Group, and leadership positions in Sponsor Realty Fund, the Esping Family Foundation, Hospitality Linen Company, Waste Corporation of America, SPA Production, L.P., STG, and other organizations.
While he is well-known for his personal and non-profit support of education, children’s causes, and other charities throughout Dallas, Bill’s big-hearted generosity is especially evident through his establishment of the Bill Esping Lawsuit and Fraud Support Initiative. His motive: to make a difference in the local, statewide and national communities, helping those who cannot help themselves. This initiative does not provide direct legal support to individuals. Instead, it establishes a platform to provide funding to organizations that help the low-income, victimized, and marginalized receive legal help and counsel. As such, it provides financial backing to organizations that provide legal assistance and promote awareness of legal aid issues across the city, the state, and the nation.
